Conveniently located above the Truckee River in Verdi between majestic Reno and world famous Lake Tahoe, the California Zephyr runs straight through town! Just ask Amtrak for a courtesy stop.

Mountain Access

We find those fancy resorts that sell "lift tickets" and "season passes" a bit crass. We're a "by invitation only" private hill. look for one of our regulars at the Verdi Distillery, and maybe we'll give you an invite or perhaps a sticker.

Due to heavy snow, Mount Myrtle is closed for the 2022-2023 season at least through October so our team can enjoy fresh powder and maybe a well earned beer.

Plan your visit

Due to congestion in our parking facility, Lakeside Towing, and their magnificent fleet of vehicles love us, we recommend that you take a rideshare like Uber or Lyft to our boutique mountain. Guests have reported pick-up times of more than seven minutes in the past, so we encourage visitors to plan accordingly; the Donner Party passed through on nearby Dog Valley Road! Sprint, Cingular Wireless and Bug Tussel customers might find it difficult to use their nearest 5G towers, so we conveniently provide a shared 2,400 baud connection via Bluetooth near the solar array.

Rentals

Some of our guests have found some amazing equipment in the baggage claim of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport which happens to be a convenient ride on the RTC bus line 12 from nearby accomodations. Most of our guests are less fussy, and more law abiding, so look at NextDoor and Craigslist for quality ski gear opportunities. We encourage you to leave all gear valued at more than $500 by the main lodge for safekeeping.

Lodging

While many of our athletes reside locally, the Verdi ski appelation offers a surfeit of quality lodging options at a range of budgets. While many of our athletes reside locally, our hearts and minds are open. We've heard that the Boomtown KOA is one of the best locations in the system, and that its parent casino has a lovely Best Western. Trivia Fact: Steve Jobs biodad ran food at Boomtown for many years until the New York Times spilled the beans back in 2011. The Ritz-Carlton in Truckee (just off of highway 267 near the 7-Eleven) has a reputation for some of the best valet parking attendents in the region. The music scene is more lively at the Grand Sierra Resort near Sparks, and who has not really done apres at the Row?.

As a private hill we disclaim all liability for pretty much anything because it's Nevada and your decisions are those you made with your <3 and not ours.

Technology?

Many guests wonder why we use vintage technology, like our "state of the art" burrito-powered uphill transportation system, and the c. 1994 HTML powering this website. We feel that a lower technology approach is more privacy friendly, and leaves us less vulnerable to a cyber-attack from an adversary like those sneaky Canadians with their hockey, poutine and kind sense of humor. (Still Squaw? Yeah, we're purple, but not racist. Athletes of all identities loved here, but please no one with more than 53 GNAR points. We're not that good!)
